Outlook stores its data in something called a MAPI store. When you run Outlook on a local computer,
it automatically installs a standard MAPI store for Outlook to use.
This is called a Personal Folders store. Data is stored in a file-based database which is commonly referred
to as a PST store. A PST store has no concept of sharing folders with other users. It is a single user store.
When Outlook is configured to use Softalk Share Server it replaces the PST store with a Softalk Share Server store.
The Softalk Share Server store is designed to be a multi-user store. Many different Outlook users
can connect to the same Softalk Share Server store to access their own information.
Every user's folders are made available in the Softalk Share Server Administrator program and this program may be used to grant varying levels of access to any of these folders.
